Craft EVA Foam Sheets Gimboo A4 1.5mm – assorted colors, foil finish

Gimboo A4 EVA foam sheets, 1.5 mm thick with a foil finish, are designed for a wide range of craft and DIY applications. These lightweight, flexible sheets come in assorted metallic and solid colours and are suitable for layering, embossing and adding reflective accents to handmade cards, school projects, costume details and small decorative items.

Advantages

The 1.5 mm thickness offers a balance between flexibility and body, making the sheets easy to cut with scissors or craft knives while holding shape for 3D elements. The foil finish provides a metallic sheen that enhances visual contrast and highlights without additional paint. These foam sheets are lightweight, water-resistant to incidental moisture and adhere well with common craft glues and hot glue.

Suitable for

• School and children’s crafts
• Greeting cards and paper crafting accents
• Cosplay and costume embellishments
• Model making and miniature scenery
• Home décor details and seasonal decorations

When it may not be suitable

Because the sheets are 1.5 mm thick and have a foil surface, they are not intended for heavy structural use or as load-bearing material. The foil finish can show scratches if handled roughly, so they may not be ideal for high-wear applications or items that will be frequently flexed.

Key specifications

• Format: A4-sized sheets
• Material: EVA foam with foil finish
• Thickness: 1.5 mm
• Colour: assorted colours with metallic/foil surface
• Properties: flexible, lightweight, water-resistant to incidental moisture

How to use

Cut sheets to the desired shape with scissors or a craft knife on a cutting mat. For clean edges, use a sharp blade and steady pressure. Attach pieces using PVA/craft glue for flat bonds or a hot glue gun for faster setting and stronger joints on 3D elements. For embossing or creating raised textures, press designs into the surface with blunt tools or embossing styluses before gluing. Test adhesives and paints on a small scrap to ensure compatibility with the foil finish.

What to consider before purchase

• Intended use: choose 1.5 mm thickness for flexible decorative elements rather than structural parts
• Surface finish: foil adds sheen but can scratch; consider matte options if durability is critical
• Cutting and shaping tools: sharp scissors or craft knives provide the best results
• Adhesives: verify glue compatibility with foil-coated EVA

Usage recommendations

Store sheets flat and away from direct heat or sunlight to prevent warping and fading. When layering, allow glue to set fully between layers to preserve the foil finish. For a more durable edge, seal cut edges with a thin layer of clear craft sealant or apply a narrow strip of matching tape.
